Good Evening Bear Family -
We are so excited to begin school tomorrow, Monday, August 26, 2024. Car drop off begins at 7:20 am. The car line is behind the school (Turn onto Clifton Drive, Turn right onto Avondale Avenue, then take a right onto Briarcliff, lastly take a right onto Patterson). You can also view this on our school website under Parents and Carpool Directions. The tardy bell is at 8 am. At this time, you will have to check in your student. You must come to the front of the school at 8 am to check in your student. Kindergarten parents are allowed to park across the street at the church and walk their students to class until Friday, August 30. After Labor Day, students should be able to walk to class by themselves.
Please remember that attendance matters! Students cannot miss more than 2 hours of instruction, in order to be counted present for school. Check outs end at 2:30 pm. In addition, our district has a promotion/retention policy that stipulates that students cannot miss more than 85% of the year and pass all of their classes in order to be promoted to the next grade level.
Our PBIS Committee is having a Skip the Line Fundraiser for the first 9 weeks. This is a fundraiser to allow you to skip the car line and park in a designated area for the first 9 weeks of school. The prices are $2.00 per chance or $7.00 for 10 chances. We will be drawing on September 10th for the first 9 weeks. Flyers were sent home at Open House regarding this fundraiser. Lastly, we have school t-shirts on sale for $10.00 (cash only) in the main office. We have adult and student sizes available.
We have also published a Parent Newsletter that will give you important reminders throughout the school year. We are so excited for this new year and our new K-5 school! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for the first day of school! And as always - Go Bears!

If you signed up for your student to go to the Boys & Girls Club, they will not start until September 3rd. If you signed up for Brame, it will not begin until October 7.
