Good Evening Bear Family - If you missed our Glee Club performance of “Freedom” on Friday, you missed a treat. Our students did a great job! Monday, Progress Reports and Retention Letters go home. Please remember that there is only Summer School for Grades 2nd and 3rd. Students must be passing with a 60 or higher, in order to go onto the next grade level. Tuesday evening, we have a virtual PTA at 6pm. Please remember that yearbooks and dedication pages are on sale now. You can purchase a yearbook for $20.00 (cash only) until May 2nd. No yearbooks will be sold after May 2nd. Lastly, please check the district website under the Bus tab for the proposed 2024-2025 Boundaries. These maps will be voted on by our board on May 6. Our students will either be attending Winstead Avenue Elementary, Edwards Elementary, or Englewood Elementary. All 3 schools will be K-5 schools in August. If you have any questions, please contact the office. We can assist you with how to access this information. This week, we have a 5th grade field trip on Wednesday to Sky Vu for those that met the criteria. Please note that our lost and found area is overflowing. You are welcome to come by and check it. On May 13 at 3 pm, we are donating these items to our local thrift stores. Good Morning and Happy Early Release Day! We wanted to let you all know our Lost&Found is overflowing with items. Students pass by this at least once a week on their way to specials. Please tell you students to check on their way by. You may also feel free to come by from 7:20-2:30 OR 3:30-4:30 to check it. Come May 13th, 2024 at 3pm we will donate any items left.

Good Evening Bear Family - We had a great weekend celebrating with our Bears! Congratulations to our girls and boys basketball teams for winning the NCPS Elementary Basketball League Championships this weekend. We are so proud of our players, staff, and cheerleaders! Monday evening, our NCPS Central Office will have a Community Forum regarding the new district attendance zone lines at Winstead Avenue at 6 pm. Also, this week, we will continue with our makeup benchmarks testing for Reading and Math through Wednesday. Wednesday, we have an Early Release Day; students will be dismissed at 1 pm. Our Glee Club will perform their musical, Freedom, on Friday evening at 6 pm. This will take place at Englewood Presbyterian, across the street from the school. After the performance, Winstead Avenue Elementary is having a Carnival on their campus. Feel free to support both schools by attending each event. Good Afternoon Bear Family - Our boys basketball team won the NCPS Elementary Basketball League Championship game. They were undefeated the entire season! We are so proud of our boys! Go Bears!

Good Afternoon Bear Family - Our girls and boys basketball teams will play in the Championship games around 3:15 pm today at Nashville Elementary School. Admission is $3.00 per person. Come out and cheer for our teams!

There are 2 opportunities for fun next Friday, April 19. Our Glee Club will be performing at Englewood Presbyterian at 6 pm, which is across the street from our school. After our Glee Club performs, please feel free to go to our sister school, Winstead Avenue for their Carnival. Please support our two schools in our area.

Good Morning! We have reached that time of year....it is time to start thinking about Kindergarten Registration. Englewood will host Kindergarten Registration May 9th, 2024 from 8am-12pm and again from 3pm-5:30pm. Please view the attached flyer for more information.

Happy Monday of spring break! Hope you are enjoying & resting. Just a reminder: When we return to school on April 8, students will receive a flyer regarding yearbook sales and dedication pages. All sales are CASH ONLY, and the cut off for purchasing a yearbook or buying a dedication page is May 2, 2024. Attached is what the form will look like. (It should be on hot pink paper.) Please remember if you have not completed the Opt-In form, either on-line or a physical copy, your student will NOT appear in the yearbook.
