Students will be in school Monday-Thursday this week. Friday is a Teacher workday. The second marking period ends this week. In athletics, Basketball plays at Parker Monday and Home vs West Edgecombe (Boys only 4pm start) on Thursday. Wrestling has home matches on Monday and Wednesday.

NCPS will operate on an Early Release schedule Friday Jan 10, 2025. Middle School will release @2:30 pm. Car riders should be picked up by 3:00pm. Thank you

Nash County Public Schools will operate on an early release schedule Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, as follows:
All Elementary Schools will be released early at 2:00 p.m.
All Middle Schools and Tar River Academy will be released early at 2:30 p.m.
All traditional High Schools will be released early at 1:30 p.m.
CITI High School and Early College High School will be released early at 11:30 a.m
All exams will continue as planned.
All after-school activities and events are canceled due to the weather forecast. This decision, made with guidance from emergency officials, prioritizes the safety of our students, staff, and school communities.

Good morning, we are operating on a 2 hour delay. Students should not be dropped off in the carline until 9:50am.

Due to the forecast of below-freezing conditions and the potential for today’s precipitation to freeze on roadways, Nash County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for staff and students on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Essential personnel should report at their regular time, provided it is safe to do so.
Breakfast will be available at schools. Students may be dropped off 40 minutes prior to the start of their school day.
Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe in this weather. For any inquiries, contact your respective school. All after-school activities and athletic programs will proceed as usual.

Wednesday - Christmas pajamas
Thursday - Red Oak Spirit (6th Grade wear Orange, 7th Grade wear White, 8th wear Blue)
Friday - Holiday Spirit - Wear as much Red, and Green as possible
In athletics:
Basketball will have home games vs. Southern Nash on Monday and Nash Central on Thursday.
Wrestling will travel to Southern on Monday and to Nash Central on Thursday.
During the morning car line our Students are partnering with the Salvation Army by ringing the bell to collect donations for our community. Please consider donating to this excellent cause.
Also, we are still accepting canned food, socks, and coats through Thursday!
We hope everyone has an excellent week and takes time to rest and enjoy the winter break!
